Convoy (operator-licence intelligence briefs)
Convoy is a Signpost Digital service that publishes weekly summaries of the Traffic Commissioner's public registers. For Convoy specifically:
- What we hold about subscribers and firms we contact: firm name, the firm-level work email address we write to or that you write to us from, and our correspondence with you.
- Where the brief content comes from: Convoy briefs are compiled from public statutory sources — the Traffic Commissioner's Applications & Decisions / Notices & Proceedings publications and the DVSA VOL register — used under the Open Government Licence v3.0. These are business records published by law. We do not republish personal email addresses that appear in the register.
- Why we may email your firm before you ask us to: we send short introduction emails to relevant limited companies and LLPs (corporate subscribers under the B2B rules in PECR), to firm-level addresses only. Every email says who we are and includes a working opt-out. Reply "no thanks" and the address goes on our suppression list permanently.
- Brief delivery: subscriber email addresses are used to deliver the weekly brief and service notices about it — nothing else. They are never sold, swapped or added to other lists.
